RFQ & Trade Terms

RFQ and Processing

Please provide engineering drawing of the machining parts you need. We accept all types of drawings in most type of formats, including, PDF, JPEG, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Pro/E, either 2D or 3D.

3D drawing is preferred for fast quoting process and future production on CNC machine center. However, for quoting purpose, PDF or JPEG files are usually sufficient.

Depending on the amount of drawings and detailed specifications of the CNC parts, the quote will usually take a week, including time needed for communication and clarifications.

Trade Terms

SpecsPro can work with different trade terms according to your requirement. The easiest way for you to receive your machining parts is to adopt DDP (Delivery Duty Paid), letting SpecsPro to deliver your machining parts safely and smoothly to your door.

Shipping Term

We can quote based on the following commonly used Incoterms.

DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) Term: the quoted price is for delivery to customer's door, all shipping, insurance and customs duty inclusive.
CIF (Cost Insurance and Freight) Term: the quoted price is for shipping to the Port of Entry
FOB (Free on Board) Term: the quoted price is for delivery to customer assigned forwarder / carrier at the Port of Export in China.

If you don not want to deal with import shipping and customs related procedure, you can simply request DDP term and let SpecsPro to arrange door delivery.

Payment Term

Our payment term generally require a pre-payment and the final payment when the jobs are accomplished.

At product development stage, we require 70% for tooling (if there is) or sample fee to initiate the process. The remaining fee will be paid after the samples are approved. Tooling are any manufacturing assists invested by the client will always be the property of the client.
Once order is confirmed, a down payment of 50% of the entire order value is required to engage the production process. The remaining will need to paid against Bill of Lading.

Preferable payment terms can be negotiated depending on the client reputation and order history.

Lead Time

SpecsPro has proving records of being fast turn-around time in our one-stop machining solutions. Below is a general concept of lead time estimate for different process stage.

Sample time generally take 45 days depending on the complexity of tooling.

Production lead time generally takes 45 days or more for the first order, depending on volume and complexity.

For shipment destination at US inland location, an FCL (full container load) shipment will take around 30 day transit time, while an LCL (less than container load) shipment will take around 45 days. Air shipment will take around 5 to 7 days, including customs and destination terminal processing time.
